We considered every detail in the renovation of this historic 1929 cottage.

COTTAGE REVIVAL | HISTORIC RENOVATION

After 19 years of collecting and curating for a home 3x larger, the challenge was “paring” down and practicing restraint to keep the small footprint from feeling cluttered.

And since there wasn’t a corner in this entire cottage we didn’t want to be washed in sunshine, we were able to make bold moves with color, pattern, and texture —allowing the bold, contrasting dark walls in the entry moment to become all the more dramatic.

A happy mix of original, vintage art with the softest neutral textiles complete each room while a curated palette of colors and textures create a calming narrative throughout the entire cottage.
